Axelspace Holdings Corporation joined the Nippon CSIRT Association (NCA) in May 2026, becoming the first space startup* to do so.
About the NCA
NCA was established in March 2007 to facilitate information sharing and collaboration among CSIRTs, Computer Security Incident Response Teams, at companies and organizations in Japan.
CSIRT is a general term for an organization that responds to computer security incidents. CSIRTs continuously collect and analyze incident-related information, vulnerability information, and signs of potential cyberattacks, and formulate response policies and procedures. By promoting collaboration among CSIRTs and providing a forum for solving common issues, NCA aims to enhance incident response capabilities and contribute to improving the overall level of security across society.

Our Commitment to Information Security and the Background to Joining the NCA
Axelspace Corporation, a 100% subsidiary of our company, was founded in 2008 and has a track record of developing and operating 11 microsatellites. We operate two main businesses: the AxelGlobe Earth observation service, which utilizes our constellation of five proprietary microsatellites, and AxelLiner, a one-stop service for microsatellite projects, which has evolved from our original dedicated satellite business.
Within the Axelspace Group, we position information security—the foundation supporting the services and businesses described above—as “proactive security.” As infrastructure enables the utilization of space in pursuit of our vision, “Space within Your Reach,” we strive to ensure the high availability and reliability necessary for anyone to use our services with confidence. In recent years, cyberattacks have become increasingly sophisticated and complex, making it extremely difficult for a single company to defend against all threats on its own. In addition to our existing initiatives, we have joined the NCA to participate in collaboration among CSIRTs, with the goal of enhancing our information security framework through the collection and response to various incident-related information, vulnerability information that must be obtained as quickly as possible, and information on potential attack indicators.
